Mary is Here!

I started this post four days ago, but we've been going, going, going.

This is the third summer in a row that my sister, Mary has come to AR to visit with us. She arrived last Monday - almost a week ago - and she will be here for almost two weeks. She is an easy guest, she just goes along with our schedule and basically just hangs with us. She doesn't need to do any sight seeing (although this week we *did* go to the Old State House on Friday and the River Market yesterday), and she doesn't mind tagging along to birthday parties or events the girls have planned. We always have fun when she's here. We spent the first few days at the pool.

When we're not at the pool, we're watching true crime shows on ID (Investigation Discovery) channel or I'm showing Mary some of the really cool apps on my phone. And she ends up downloading them onto hers. She always says that she leave here just a little more tech savvy.

One thing Mary has been adamant about is going to the gym. We've been good for each other - dragging the other when she doesn't want to go. And then we reward ourselves with a drink from Starbucks on the way home. Mary mentioned that this is her boot camp to get herself back in shape - and really, so it is for me as well. I've been going to the gym sporadically this summer - only enough to say I was going to the gym, but not exactly enough to call it a regular work-out. So this is exactly what I needed to get me to go more often so I can get in shape. We've been everyday since Tuesday.

Mary is here until Friday - the day we leave for our beach vacation. I haven't taken many pictures, but Mary has and she dumped them all onto my hard drive. So I will eventually get some of them posted.

Right now, we are headed to the gym ...
