In six days, we will be on a plane headed to our vacation destination.
Yes, so much has happened since my last post (and even since before then), and no, I won't pretend that I'm going to catch up. Because I likely won't. However, I'm on a mission to blog more. It's definitely a part of my life that I enjoy, and miss incredibly. I still have so much to catch up - which will, sadly, probably never make it on the blog. So onward and upward ...
In six short days, we will be on our way to Italy. We're all getting very excited. We fly into Rome and we'll spend a few days there. Jess has spend a lot of time reading books, researching online, and planning our short stay there. [I'm thankful that she likes (read: NEEDS) to do that every time, every where we go on vacation. She's the planner - I'm the packer. I don't like to plan, she doesn't like to pack. So it's a perfect match. :D] We leave Rome and head to Praiano on the Amalfi Coast, with a stop and a tour in Pompeii. Praiano is a small town not far from Sorrento. We will spend our time walking, exploring, and eating authentic Italian.
This is a family vacation, so yes, the girls are coming with us. Sydney is definitely excited. Layne has no clue. LOL! We have spent the last few weeks preparing and getting the things we need to make the trip and travel fun and comfortable for all of us. The girls have their devices to play on, we have movies and books downloaded, and we have our carry-on pillows. We should handle the day-long travel pretty well.
I should have plenty of pictures to upload, but I will only have internet access during our short stay in Rome. So even as I write that I want to start blogging more, I will likely not blog the entire time we are in Italy.
Seeing as could be my last post until we return, a presto (see you later)!

OH MY GOSH I'm so jealous. How fun.
Can't WAIT to hear how everything goes.
Enjoy yourselves. You have to check out Florence. The best kept secret in Italy.
